(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Cairo-based Academy of Arts decided to award famous Kuwaiti Poet Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain honorary doctorate, announced Monday the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulkareem Suleiman.
The honoring comes in recognition of Al-Babtain's significant role in enriching Arab literature and culture, Ambassador Suleiman said in a statement to KUNA.
He underlined that the cultural initiatives, projects and activities of the Kuwaiti Poet and his prestigious institution, namely the Foundation of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babatain's Prize for Poetic Creativity, have undeniable impact on the Arab culture.
The Egyptian diplomat added that a special celebration to confer Al-Babtain with the honorary doctorate will be held at the headquarters of the Academy of Arts in Cairo next September.
