Kuwait- Media, Info Fora Provide Solutions To Tech Issues


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The 7th Kuwait Info Security Forum and the 4th Arab Social Media Forum are interested in providing new solutions for information technology and modern media outlets to keep privacy and confidentiality, stressed Deputy Director-General of the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) Qusai AlShatti.

Al-Shatti made the statement during the inauguration of the two forums here, with the participation of several global companies working in the sectors of communication, information security, social media and state bodies. Technological developments of computer information systems accompanied by new negative phenomena like cyber crimes that require providing technical solutions for keeping privacy and confidentiality, Al-Shatti said in an inaugural speech on behalf of the CAIT's Director General Abdullatif Al-Sarea.

Al-Shatti noted that such cyber crimes have posed challenges to people and countries, adding that some laws are combatting these crimes. He said that the CAIT has been sponsoring the Info Security Forum since it was launched for the first time, noting that this affirms its interest in every issues related to technology development and information technology.

Since its establishment in 2006, the CAIT has achieved several projects to develop the system of e-government in collaboration and coordination with the governmental bodies, mainly the Kuwait Information Network currently linking 56 bodies to help them transfer and exchange information rapidly with commitment to utmost levels of reliability and confidentiality, he made clear.
