Dubai to build USD129.3m bridges to Bluewaters Island


(MENAFN) Dubai's transport authority granted USD129.3 million contracts for the building of a bridge to link Bluewaters Tourism Island to the mainland, Arabian Business reported.

The construction work has already been initiated over the entryways to the island, which are set to be situated near the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) shoreline, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

'The new bridge meets the needs of Bluewaters Island which promises to be one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the UAE,' RTA chairman and executive director said in a statement.
