Kuwait- Matchmaker Caught Swindling Potential Suitors


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A female Arab matchmaker has been arrested for swindling a number of marriage seekers and escaping with money they had paid for her to find them suitable brides, reports Al-Shahed daily. Securitymen received several complaints about the matchmaker, who was well-known in social media and had switched off her cell phone after receiving money from them. The matchmaker was seized and referred to the concerned authorities for questioning.

Indian family robbed: An unknown individual broke into the house of an Indian family in Abu Halifa area and stole jewelry worth KD 6,067, reports Al-Anba daily. Officers from the General Department for Criminal Evidences rushed to the location and lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit. Investigations in this regard have been launched.

Caught exiting illegally: A Bedoun couple was arrested at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to bribe a female airport employee with KD 2,500 for seeking her help to leave the country with passports that did not belong to them, reports Al-Anba daily. The employee informed her supervisor who instructed her to pretend to agree and accept the offer, and then notified the security authority at the airport. The couple was arrested in the act after the bribery was filmed.

KD 1 million robbery: An unknown individual broke into the house of a Kuwaiti businessman in Haten area and stole valuables worth KD 1 million, reports Al-Shahed daily. Officers from the General Department for Criminal Evidences rushed to the location and lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
