Eurozone's retail trade up 1.2 percent in August
(MENAFN) According to the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat), the eurozone volume of retail trade rose by 1.2 percent in August compared with July, Xinhua reported.
As for the 28-nation EU area, the retail trade volume also increased by 1.4 percent in August, suggesting an upward trend in demanding, Eurostat figures showed.
The improvement in August is mainly due to rises of 1.7 percent for automotive fuel, of 1.5 percent for the non-food sector and of 0.6 percent for food, drinks and tobacco.
