Organised by Fahmi Mohammed Zahran al Mawali, founder of insta8oman, the programme was organised as part of the ‘Hand in Hand' event of Dar al Atta'a.

Mawali said, ''Insta8oman is a platform that showcases the achievements of people from different walks of life. One of the objectives is to showcase how Instagram can be used for building a better society with knowledge and inspiration.''

He added that eight active Instagram users were selected for the event and they were asked to speak about eight of their best pictures for eight minutes.

''Another post of mine was a video of me looking into the mirror. The video highlights the importance of being thankful to people.''

Speaking about the future programmes, Mawali said that he wants to take insta8oman to a different level. ''We will be holding workshops on selfies.''

Another speaker at the event, May al Bayat, marketing director, Dar al Atta'a said, ''This was the first time that we took part in this event and it was a wonderful and learning experience.
