Hyper Panda ISPC Corporate EPBL champions

(MENAFN- Arab News) Rk Millena seized the spotlight scoring 15 of his 34 points in the third quarter to lead Ittifaq Steel Product Company Corporate to a 76-57 rout of top seed Metal Recycling Mill Tigers to lift the championship at the conclusion of the Eastern Province Basketball League Al Tuwairqi Cup here.Metal Recycling Mill who prided itself with a deadly 3-point shooting never had an answer to the Corporates' transition game. After a close 31-30 score at the half league MVP Millena ran off eight in a row to open the third quarter on a 12-2 run and there was never a threat from the Tigers who couldn't get closer than nine from there.Rey Millena added 22 points and eight assists for coach Daniel Ramos. Tenacious defense played a key role for Panda's victory as the Hypermarket giants held Astoon Hospital scoreless in the first three minutes of the second quarter of the game for a commanding 47-27 at the half. The lead ballooned to 29 points in the third period 69-40 and Panda then coasted to victory from there.
