China India Vow to Advance Strategic Cooperation


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ijing April 15 - High-ranking officials from China and India have vowed to advance the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries as they met in Beijing. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin and Indian Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh held strategic talks in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse China's (Xinhua) news agency reported. Liu said China is ready to work with India to advance the partnership to a new level. Sujatha said all political parties in India share a common ground on advancing India-China strategic cooperative partnership. He expressed the belief that no matter which political party comes to the rein through the general election later this year India's policy toward China will not be changed. He reiterated the Indian government's view of attaching high priority to its relations with China. He said the Indian government is working to consolidate the strategic cooperative partnership that is oriented to peace and prosperity. Liu said China is ready to maintain the momentum of high-level contact and exchange of visit with India enhance mutual trust on strategic level expand practical cooperation and friendly exchanges and strengthen communication and cooperation on major regional and international issues. He said China is ready to work with India to properly manage and address disputes. Liu said bilateral relations have seen a very good beginning this year which marks the Year of Friendly Exchanges between China and India. He said that in recent years China-India relations have remained stable healthy and embarked on an ascending track.
