Pacquiao regains world title

(MENAFN- Kora) Having lost to bradley in a controversial split-decision in june 2012 pacquaio emphatically regained the world title in los vegas with the bout judged his way 116-112 116-112 and 118-110.

The fight started brightly with pacquiao edging the opening three rounds while bradley was threatening with some heavy shots.

A right-hander from bradley saw pacquiao stumble in the fourth round but the 35-year-old filipino veteran continued to score points with some tidy boxing.

Having caused some damage bradley went on the attack in fifth round but did not land enough punches while in the sixth and seventh the 30-year-old american spent long periods up against the ropes with his hands down hoping to lure pacquiao in.

While the defending champion clearly had the power to hurt pacquiao bradley simply could not get a hold of the one-time champion in six different weight divisions.

As the rounds continued pacquiao continued to look on top and heading into the 10th bradley's coach declared 'if we're going to go down we're going to go down f***ing swinging'.

But it mattered little as pacquiao held on for victory with the final stats showing the filipino had landed 198 punches to bradley's 141.
