US Hands Over Illegal Oil Tanker to Libya

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The United States has handed over to Libyan authorities a vessel seized after it was illegally loaded with crude oil at a terminal controlled by Libyan rebels, a Libyan official says. "Three units from the Libyan Navy sailed early today to a certain point after an agreement with the US Navy," Ayoub Qassem, spokesman for the Libyan Navy, tells Libya's official news agency, LANA. "Libyan Navy personnel boarded the North Korea-flagged tanker, controlled it and arrested its 21-member crew along with three Libyans," he says
