US Westinghouse to join Saudi nuclear power program
(MENAFN) The US-based Westinghouse Electric plans to take part in Saudi Arabia's nuclear power program, according to Arab News.
Westinghouse chief executive Danny Roderick said to UPI news agency: "We see Saudi Arabia as a good market for us."
Saudi Arabia plans to build a Chain of nuclear power plants to increase the capacity of electricity generation.
Riyadh may look for preliminary tenders for 16 nuclear reactors in 2014 which it plans to construct over the 15 following years.
The projects of the 16 nuclear reactors are expected to cost about USD100 billion.
