(MENAFN - Morocco World News) Rabat – The Fez judicial arrested an Algerian national on Friday after they discovered he was pretending to be a Moroccan using forged identity documents, reported Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).
According to initial investigations carried out by the General Directorate for National Security (), The Algerian was charged with the falsification of identity documents which were used by Algerian nationals who are the subject of international search warrants for their involvement in criminal acts.
Other investigations carried out by Morocco's General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance () in coordination with police elements in the city led to the arrest of three Algerians in the act of misusing national identity of Moroccan people in July.
Another suspect, who was an agent of the Moroccan authorities, was also arrested in Fez for facilitation of the acquisition of Moroccan identity through using forged documents.
The defendants were brought to justice, while investigations are underway to determine the suspects' motives and to arrest possible individuals involved in this case.
