Qatar- Bangladesh language movement hero Takiullah breathes his last

Language movement veteran of 1952 and son of legendary linguist Dr Mohamed Shahidullah, Mohamed Takiullah died at a city hospital yesterday morning. He was 91.
Takiullah, who was put on life support for the last few days, breathed his last in the city's Square Hospital at 11.10am, family and hospital sources said.
He left behind a son, a daughter and wife and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
'My father was admitted to the hospital with lung infection last month, said journalist Shanta Maria, daughter of Takiullah.
His body was taken to Communist Party office and his Namaj-e-Janaja was held at the Dhaka University Central Mosque after Maghrib prayer.
Central committee of the CPB expressed deep shock at the demise of Takiullah, a former general secretary of Dhaka city committee of the party, and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
