Number of buyers at 2nd Baku Shopping Festival doubles minister

The number of buyers at the second Baku Shopping Festival doubled as compared to the first festival, said Azerbaijan's Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev on Nov. 15.

'This is a good indicator for the first year of the festival. More accurate figures will be announced at the end of the month,' said the minister.

He noted that the second Shopping Festival caused as much interest as the first one.

The fact that tourists from different countries, particularly, from the Gulf countries, Iran and Russia come to Azerbaijan within the framework of the Shopping Festival, is very satisfying and worthy of approval, added Garayev.

The 2nd Baku Shopping Festival, which aims to turn Baku into a regional trading center, started on October 15.

The 2nd Baku Shopping Festival is organized by the Azerbaijan Convention Bureau under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.
