A missile near Riyadh intercepted by Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN) A ballistic missile launched from Yemen yesterday was destroyed over Riyadh, however, remains landed inside the capital's international airport, according to officials.

A loud explosion near the King Khalid International Airport was reported by KSA residents just north of the city following the interception of the missile, although authorities reported no major damage or life loss.

"This evening a ballistic missile was fired from Yemeni territory towards the kingdom", the Saudi Press Agency quoted coalition spokesman Turki Al Maliki as saying last night.
