Depository bombed by Israeli air force in Syria

(MENAFN) A depot in Syria's Homs province was bombed by Israel's air force on Wednesday, continuing the series of strikes in the recent weeks, a monitoring group said.

It was still unclear at the moment whether the depot belonged to the Syrian government or its Lebanese ally Hezbollah, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Rami Abdel Rahman, the observatory's director said, "Israeli planes fired rockets at an arms depot in the industrial zone of Hisyah, south of the city of Homs".

Syrian television reported "an aggression" by Israel in the region, adding that the national army had "responded".
