UAE- Mohamed bin Rashid receives Ugandan President

DUBAI, 1st November, 2017 (WAM) -- Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received on Wednesday the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni and his accompanying delegation, at Al Majlis, Madinat Jumeirah.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, was present at the meeting. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the President of Uganda and those accompanying him. The parties reviewed bilateral relations and co-operation between the two countries and ways to enhance them, especially in the investment, economic, and tourism fields, among others, for the benefit of the two friendly peoples.

Sheikh Mohammed and Museveni attended the signing of an agreement regarding encouraging mutual investment. Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Evelyn Anite, State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatisation in Uganda, signed the agreement.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Museveni approved the agreement and wished that the step would begin a new era of constructive co-operation between the two sides in the best interests of the two countries.
