GCC chief condemns Bahrain's blast

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Oct 3 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GGC) Secretary General Abdullatif Al-Zayani on Tuesday condemned a blast the hit Manama's Budaiya Street, Bahrain, and wounded several policemen who were on duty on Monday.

In a statement, Al-Zayani strongly denounced the cowardly terror attack that goes against human and moral values and principles, expressing confidence in the ability of the security bodies in the Kingdom to divulge the circumstances of the incident and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Such heinous terror crimes that target the security and stability of the Kingdom of Bahrain will not affect the determination and the national unity of the Bahraini people, the GCC chief said, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

Last night, Bahrain's Interior Ministry said a "terrorist" explosion injured five police officers who were securing a funeral. (end) mdm.msa
