Egyptian Jeanne d'Arc presents Egypt in several internation film festivals


(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Iman Kamel's documentary Egyptian Jeanne d'Arc takes a tour presenting Egypt from South to West in several film festivals. Starting with Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden taking place fro 6-10 October, before it goes to Arabisches Filmfestival Tübingen in Germany taking place from 6 to14 October, and the Arab Film Festival in Rotterdam(11-15 October).

The documentary tells the story of Egyptian women's resistance since the 25 January revolution, thorough mythic story elements, poetic narration, and dance. The film is co-produced by Nomad's Home Production (Iman Kamel) and Linked Productions (Talal Al-Muhanna).

Egyptian Jeanne d'Arc was nominated for the 2013 Arab-German Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung Foundation in Germany. It landed its world premiere within the Muhr Feature competition at the Dubai International Film Festival. The Culturist has selected the film as one of the 30 Must Watch films at the 2016 edition of DIFF. Egyptian Jeanne D'Arc also competed within the Plaza 6 Program, which screens films from developing countries, at the Eurasia International Film Festival in Astana, Kazakhstan.
