(MENAFN - Morocco World News) Rabat – has facilitated the procedures for granting visas to Moroccan nationals wishing to travel to the country.
Visa for Moroccan nationals will be extended to a duration of two years, reported Moroccan news outlet Assabah in its weekend edition. Moroccans will also enjoy facilitated transit at Saudi airports.
The daily indicated that the Saudi Arabia announced its new visa policy in a press release issued by the Saudi Embassy in Rabat.
The Saudi embassy said that it is open to provide counseling and answer questions regarding visa applications, especially for businessmen.
By facilitating access to Saudi Arabia, the oil rich country aims to encourage and improve investment opportunities between the two countries. As oil prices are falling, the Saudi government is trying to diversify its revenues to maintain a local economy, as part of the vision of Saudi Arabia to promote its economy and investment by 2030.
The Saudi embassy in Rabat also denied "the publication of false information by the media" saying that "" during this year's Hajj.
The visa announcement coincided with the celebration of the Saudi National Day on Friday, September 23.
