Ukrian- Rada obliged to adopt pension reform until Oct. 1 Speaker Parubiy


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is obliged to adopt the pension reform until October 1.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy announced this on Tuesday, September 19, Espreso.TV reports.

"This issue refers not only to our obligations to the IMF. It is the commitment to Ukrainian pensioners. We want the Ukrainian pensioners to get increased pensions starting from October 1," Parubiy said.

Earlier, IMF Resident Representative in Ukraine GoestaLjungman stressed that the introduction of the pension reform along with measures to revive privatization and tackle corruption was one of the prerequisites for the fourth review of the arrangementundertheExtendedFund Facility (EFF)program for Ukraine by the IMF Executive Board.
