Ooredoo yesterday announced that it has been named as the Gyrfalcon Sponsor for the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition 'Shail 2017, which will take place from September 20 to 24, 2017.
The event is the first-ever hunting exhibition held by the Cultural Village Foundation Katara that features all the advanced technology tools needed to serve the hobby of hunting and aims to promote the hobby of hunting, as well as Qatar's rich Arab heritage.
Held in Katara's Cultural Village, the event is expected to attract visitors from around the region and so to keep everyone connected, Ooredoo will have a dedicated Ooredoo booth at the event.
Talking about the sponsorship, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, Ooredoo Director of PR and Corporate Communications, said: 'Ooredoo is a major supporter of Qatari culture, traditions and educational initiatives. This new exhibition will help educate our young on hunting methods which have been passed down for generations, and instil a respect for both sportsmanship and nature, which all great hunters need.
