Kuwait- Bangladeshi expat arrested with 47 liquor bottles 40 illegals held


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: A Bangladeshi expatriate was arrested in Farwaniya area in possession of 47 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling Farwaniya area when they suspected an Asian expatriate after he started running as soon as he noticed the patrol officers. Securitymen stopped him and checked his bag to find 47 water bottles which were filled with locally manufactured liquor. He was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Nepalese expatriate was arrested in Abu Halifa area in possession of 12 bottles of locally manufactured liquor. He was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for investigations.

40 illegals held: In a recent campaign, officers from Jahra Security Directorate apprehended 40 people who could not show any form of identification alongside 5 individuals wanted by law for civil and criminal offenses, says Al-Seyassah. They also arrested 15 motorists for reckless driving and impounded their vehicles to the garages of the ministry. A security source said the campaign will continue in all parts of the governorate over an indeterminate period to ensure security and safety of road users and inhabitants.
