Kuwait- Coalition review finds 61 more civilian casualties from airstrikes


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Sept 1 (KUNA) -- The coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) completed 37 reports of possible civilian causalities as a result of airstrikes in which 13 reports "were assessed to be credible" resulting in 61 unintentional civilian deaths.

To date at least 685 civilians have been unintentionally killed by Coalition strikes since the start of Operation Inherent Resolve, said a statement released from US Central Command (CENTCOM) on Friday.

There are 455 reports of possible civilian casualties that are still being assessed. (end) ak.mt
