Egypt to raise USD2-4bn in dollar-denominated Eurobonds by 2018




(MENAFN) Egypt will issue between USD2bn and USD4bn in dollar-denominated Eurobonds in the Jan-June period of the coming year, as proclaimed Finance Minister.

This year, the country sold USD7bn in five-, 10-and 30-year bonds, returning to global markets for the first time since the uprising in 2011.

Moreover, Egypt has been in talks for billions of dollars in help from different lenders to support revive an economy hit by political upheaval.

In addition, the country's foreign reserves grew to USD36.04bn at the end of July, their highest level since the 2011 uprising weakened the nation of foreign currency.
