Afghanistan- Riyadh vows to help Kabul combat terror


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) (Pajhwok): The Saudi government has voiced strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on the Iraqi embassy in Kabul, pledging to help the Afghan government overcome the menace.

An unnamed Saudi Foreign Ministry official was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency as expressing the solidarity of the Kingdom with Iraq and in their efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.

The official said Riyadh would extend assistance to Kabul in its struggle to eradicate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, according to the state-run news agency.

The Islamic State-claimed suicide attack against the embassy of Iraq involved several armed men who killed two Afghan civilian employees and injured a police officer.
