Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series Heads to Missouri August 5th

BLOOMING PRAIRIE, Minn., July 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --The third and final midwestern race on the 2017 schedule takes place at , Missouri, August 5th.

"We had a great race in Cedar Rapids earlier this month, and we'll be in Madison this weekend. Then, it's off to Lebanon," Bandit Director of Operations Brian Madsen said. "We've been racing primarily in the southeastern United States, so a few races in the Midwest will help introduce us to a new group of fans."

Lebanon is also the westernmost race on the schedule, opening up the Bandits to a whole new audience.

"We're looking to expand westward in the near future, so this is a great chance for some fans to see the Bandits in person for the first time," said.

Drivers race for a $50,000 purse at every Bandit event, with the winner of the feature race taking home a $10,000 check.

"Our series is headquartered in the Midwest, and I know our fans will be rocking the house in Lebanon, August 5th," Madsen said.

Boileau picked up his first win of the season in Cedar Rapids, and has been making a recent charge up the standings.

"It was fun seeing Tommy Boileau take home his first feature win," Madsen said. "You never know how a Bandit race will turn out. Every Bandit has a shot at taking home the $10,000."

Seven races remain in 2017, which has seen many Bandit firsts, including the first time a father/son have competed (Bob & ) as well as an entire family of Bandits (Craig, & ).

Grandstands open at 4 p.m. August 5th and the racing action starts at 7:30 p.m.
