Belgium suspects Brussels attacker to be supporter for IS

(MENAFN) Belgian prosecutors said that the Moroccan man who attempted attack in Central Station of Brussels is suspected to be supporter for Islamic State.

Earlier, the suspect tried to explode a suitcase bomb packed with gas bottles and nails in Brussels' Central Station, but no injuries reported.

Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel said the man likely made the bomb at his home in the Brussels borough of Molenbeek, a known hotbed of radicalized Muslims.

The prosecutors said in a statement: "There are also indications that the suspect had sympathies for the terrorist organization IS."
