Algeria Undertakes Military Exercise Near Moroccan Border

For the second time this year, the National Popular Army (ANP) of Algeria carried out a live fire training exercise in an area dubbed Third Military Zone in Tindouf, near the border with Morocco.

The four-day training began November 10 and was supervised on last the day by Gaid Salah, who inspected some units of the operational sector.

According to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Defense, Gaid Salah 'supervised the execution of a tactical exercise of actual shooting aimed at the offensive in motion, carried out by units of the land forces.'

The 76-year-old senior military officer observed different stages of the military exercise, which was executed under conditions close to reality to ensure a 'rigorous planning and organization' and to guarantee the high-level competence of executives.
