RAF humanitarian forum ends in Malaysia

DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has concluded activities of the seventh forum of its ‘Partners in Humanitarian Work"; in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The forum was attended by 70 executive directors of projects from 55 institutions working in the humanitarian field in 25 countries across the world. It was held from August 4 to 14 in partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) under the theme ‘From Providing Aid to Ending the Need";.

RAF";s training centre organised activities and training workshops for participants whose number has reached 403 from 275 humanitarian institutions since the launch of the first forum in 2013.

Many trainees expressed happiness over their participation and said such courses will help them develop humanitarian work based on international humanitarian standards. The participants also discussed future projects. The centre is keen to be a knowledge source for its partners and aims at developing the humanitarian work, because such development and courses will reflects on the quality of services they are providing.
