Video: Algerian Singer Reda Taliani Expresses his Love for Morocco

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Algerian singer Reda Taliani took to Facebook to express his love for Morocco and counter the criticisms levied at him by fellow Algerians on social media.

In a video posted on his Facebook page last Sunday, the singer counterattacked the Algerians after they condemned a photo Taliani posted taken with Morocco's King Mohammed VI and his consort Lalla Salma.

In the three-minute video, Taliani expressed his love for Morocco and King Mohammed VI. He said that he has been living in with Moroccans for many years, and they have never abused him.

'I am 200% Algerian and I love Morocco,' he said. 'My wife is Moroccan. The Moroccans have never bothered me and I really love them very much.' He added, 'I would just say that you [Algerians] spend your time complaining and hunting for French nationality in front of [French] embassies and [now you attack me because I live in Morocco].'

Taliani asserted that Morocco and Algeria have many things in common, such as Islam, customs and traditions, unlike France, which he said had invaded Algeria and killed many Algerians.
