According to the Moroccan Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Moroccan committees in charge of sighting the moon indicating the end of the month of Ramadan confirmed that the new month began on Tuesdaynight.

Morocco, which relies on special committees across the country to sight the crescent, started Ramadan a day later than most Muslim countries.

As Ramadan drew to a close, the committees were deployed to watch for the moonon Tuesday night. As soon as a committee views the crescent moon, it reports that the month of Ramadan is complete and the next month has begun.
