Morocco- World Humanitarian Summit Kicks Off in Istanbul


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) The first World Humanitarian Summit kicked off here on Monday with the participation of 50 heads of state and government.

Prince Moulay Rachid represents King Mohammed VI in the two-day event.

Before the opening ceremony, Prince Moulay Rachid and the other heads of delegations posed for a souvenir photo.

The World Humanitarian Summit is expected to mark a turning point in how the international community prepares and faces crises, conflicts, natural disasters and population movements to prevent human suffering.

It will also provide an essential platform to take up the challenges facing the humanitarian system.

The first-ever World Humanitarian Summit will discuss the means to better tackle what the United Nations describes as the worst humanitarian crisis since World War II.
