Warsaw hosts 1st meeting of UAE-Polish Political Consultation Committee

WARSAW, 17th May, 2016 (WAM) -- The first meeting of the UAE-Polish Political Consultation Committee has taken place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw.
The meeting was chaired by Joanna Wronecka, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister for Development Cooperation, Africa and the Middle East, and Ahmed Abdul Rehman Al Jarman, Assistant UAE Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Youssef Issa Hassan Al Sabri, UAE Ambassador to Poland and the accompanying delegation.
During the work of the committee, the parties reviewed a number of topics of mutual interest and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and develop bilateral relations as well as exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues.
The Polish official hailed the strategic partnership between the two countries, praising the historic visit of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to Poland.
She also commended the role played by the UAE in the international humanitarian arena, expressing her country's keenness on building a lasting partnership with the UAE to expand the horizons of cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
Ahmed Abdul Rehman Al Jarman praised UAE-Poland relations, stressing the keenness of the UAE to promote and develop these relations to reflect the aspirations and directions of the top leadership in both countries.
