(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS April 9 (KUNA) -- French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Saturday the common challenges facing his country and Algeria require from both sides to put aside the minor problems.
The friendship between Algeria and France transcends the small problems and today is very essential with regard to the challenges that both countries have to face Algeria Press Service (APS) quoted him as saying upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport.
"We are here (in Algeria) with a positive constructive and friendly mindset because friendship between Algeria and France goes beyond the small problems" Valls said.
"We know that our friendship our strategic and constructive relationship is very important and very useful son. It is much needed today with regard to the challenges we face" he added.
Recalling that his visit is part of thee meeting of the Algerian-French High Level Intergovernmental Committee (CIHN) the French Prime Minister said that the two governments have much to achieve in different areas.
"We have much to do together in all fields particularly in the economic industrial and agricultural fields as well as the human relationships like culture education and exchanges between our two peoples who are so close" he pointed out.
Valls insisted on the security aspect calling for working "together" in the fight against terrorism." In this regard he recalled that Algeria "masters the issue of security like many others" because it was confronted with terrorism.
In the same context he stressed that the two countries share "the same strategic vision on issues like Libya." "I will have the opportunity to have a one-on-one meeting with Sellal and tomorrow (Sunday) we have the economic meetings and hopefully the signing of the agreements" said French Premier.
Manuel Valls who started a two-day visit to Algeria is to co-chair with his Algerian counterpart Abdelmalek Sellal the 3rd session of the CIHN due to open on Sunday.
