Oman- Prostitution ring busted in Muttrah

A prostitution ring operating from a flat in Muttrah was busted in the wee hours of Monday.

A man and several women were picked up by ROP following a raid on the house on Al Washal Street.

The raid was carried out following a complaint by other tenants of the building. The occupants had moved into the flat only about a fortnight ago residents of the building told Muscat Daily. 'There would be no activities in the flat in the day but people would be seen entering the flat during nights' a resident said.

He added that a feud over sharing money at around 2am on Monday gave them away. 'The noise from the brawl invited the attention of other building residents to the illegal activity. The police was informed and arrests were made' he said. Police officials said that all accused are Asian nationals and have been handed over to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
