Deputy Ruler of Dubai receives Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales

DUBAI 1st February 2016 (WAM)H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai Chairman of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has received Sir John Thomas Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting Sheikh Maktoum welcomed the Lord Chief Justice and his accompanying delegation expressing his pleasure at the visit which has opened new avenues for co-operation between the two parties.

The Deputy Ruler of Dubai highlighted the efforts of government bodies in promoting investments in Dubai which brings flourishing returns on the national economy. He also stressed the constructive efforts being made to achieve the vision of the UAE's wise leadership especially in providing an ideal work environment in line with the global frameworks.

The two sides also discussed future projects related to the courts of the Dubai International Financial Centre its annual report and Dubai's ambition in all areas specifically the economic and judicial fields.

Sir John Thomas commended the Government of Dubai for its efforts in creating an attractive environment for investment through providing immense facilitations for companies and institutions including both major and emerging investment banks.
