Portuguese FM visits Louvere Abu Dhabi site

ABU DHABI 30th January 2016 (WAM) --- Portugal's Minister for Foreign Affairs Augusto Santos Silva has visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi's construction site where he was welcomed by Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Development and Investment Company Sufian Hasan Al Marzouqi.

He toured the site of the project which is in its final stages and viewed the museum's completed dome's 'rain of light' effect as envisioned by Louvre Abu Dhabi's architect Jean Nouvel and the installation work of 30000 square metres of natural stone paving.

Minister Silva was accompanied by Portuguese Ambassador to the UAE Jimmy Van Zeller Laitau and embassy staff.
