(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Athens Rabi'II 18 1437 Jan 28 2016 SPA -- At least 24 people including ten children drowned on Thursday after a boat carrying migrants from Turkey to Greece capsized near the island of Samos the Greek coast guard said as it continued the search for an unknown number of others dpa reported.
It was unclear how many people were aboard.
Rescuers pulled ten survivors from the sea as the search continued involving vessels of the EU border protection agency Frontex fishing boats as well as Greek and Turkish coast guard helicopters.
