Rome railway station resumes operation after hoax terrorist alert
(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The central railway station in the Italian capital has resumed normal operation on Monday evening after a hiatus of one and half hours forced by a terrorist alert.The security services at the station were put on red alert after receiving tips that a man carrying a machinegun stopped near the station media reports said.Dozens of policemen have promptly cordoned off the area evacuated the station and managed to arrest the man who turned out to be a mentally-deranged Italian with a toy rifle.The incident took place while Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani were holding a press conference.
