UAE- Etihad Rail hosts MBA student delegation from University of Maryland

ABU DHABI 11th January 2016 (WAM) -- Etihad Rail the developer and operator of the UAE's national railway network has hosted a delegation of MBA Global Business Programme students from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland as part of their recent study tour to the UAE.

The 10 day visit aimed to expose students to the economic financial social and cultural aspects of the UAE providing them insights into what considerations and opportunities to take into account when doing business in the UAE.

As part of the tour students had the opportunity to observe and perceive how Etihad Rail develops and operates within this business environment. Etihad Rail gave an overview presentation about the company's establishment mandate benefits and achievements to date. This was followed by a Q&A session that highlighted the various technical and commercial aspects of the development of the Etihad Rail network covering the initial design and planning stages and including the construction operation and maintenance of the railway.

Etihad Rail as a company remains education-focused as part of our ongoing commitment to reaching out to educational institutions in the UAE and abroad" said Etihad Rail CEO Faris Saif Al Mazrouei. "As part of this knowledge- sharing opportunity students were able to take a closer look into how Etihad Rail will transform the business landscape in the UAE and the wider GCC region. They learnt about how by linking principal centers of population and industry in the country Etihad Rail will enable businesses to flourish efficiently and contribute to sustained social development" he added.
