UAE's non-oil trade with Algeria hits USD493m in 2014




(MENAFN) UAE and Algeria are closely discussing and exploring ways to boost economic and trade collaboration for the benefit of the two nations and their people, according to the latest reports.

Algeria is an important strategic partner for the UAE, as non-oil trade between the two jumped from USD423.9 million in 2013 to USD493.2 million in 2014 - marking a 14 percent y-o-y growth.

Additionally, the private sector plays a vital and significant role in bolstering bilateral relations through facilitating collaborations between business communities in the two countries.

UAE investments in Algeria consist of 17 major projects valued at nearly USD6 billion, plus the future forecasts of cooperation looked optimistic with both nations keen to augment joint relations.
