(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti air force is undergoing improvement and development through more training and the purchase of more aircraft, said Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah in a press statement on Tuesday.
He was speaking on the occasion of the conclusion of an annual drill for air force personnel that had started last Sunday. In today's final drill live ammunition was used.
Air force commander Maj.Gen. Abdullah Al-Foderi said in a similar press statement that this year's drills aimed at raising the capabilities of fighter pilots in a non-traditional war scenario.
He extoled the performance of Kuwaiti pilots taking part in the coalition against Houthi militias in Yemen.
