Brussels hosts UN conf on Palestine


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP), in cooperation with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Arab League, will hold an International meeting on Question of Palestine in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday.
The theme of the two-day conference is "Israeli settlements as an obstacle to peace - possible ways forward," said the organisers in a press release Sunday.
On Wednesday, the Committee will hold separate consultations with civil society organizations.
Meeting participants will discuss Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, their status under Israeli and international law, as well as the impact of Israeli settlement activity on the life of Palestinian people and the EU guidelines on import of goods produced in the settlements.
Participants will be international experts, and representatives of the diplomatic community, civil society and academia.
