SolGold sees consistent copper shows in latest hole at Cascabel

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors)SolGold's (LON:SOLG) final assays from the eleventh hole at Cascabel showed copper indications continued over the final 600m. A bulk interval of 636m at 0.58% copper and 0.40 g/t gold ran from a depth of 996m close to its final hole depth of 1668m and included four higher grade intervals. Intersections at depth in Hole 11 showed consistent stock-work quartz vein percentages of between 0.5%-2.0%. This mineralisation is believed to form a "saddle" between the inferred Central Alpala and Northwest Alpala porphyry centres SolGold added. Assays had already been reported down to a depth of 1060m which showed an intersection of 740m of 0.24% copper and 0.16 g/t gold with a high grade zone of 58m at 1000m. The intersections achieved in Hole 11 and surface mapping data now provide evidence for a lateral strike extent of copper and gold mineralisation at Alpala to 450m it concluded.  The drill rig has already been moved to hole 12 with a second drill scheduled to come on line in July.
