Saudi Arabia Records 7 Corona Cases during Past Week in Riyadh and Hofuf


(MENAFN- QNA) The Saudi Ministry of Health said that it recorded 7 confirmed cases of positive corona virus over the past week of 14-20 June 2015 in Riyadh and Hofuf.

In a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry showed that it examined 911 samples of Corona virus in the laboratories of the Ministry during the same period, as the number of Rapid Response Team Visits to combat health facilities infection was (4) visits, and the number of public health teams visits to mixed cases positive was (7), while the total number of contacts home-positive cases was (59), and the number Ministry of Agriculture Visit was (1) during the same period.

The Ministry of Health confirmed the healing of (572) infected with the Corona cases at a rate of 55.2% of the total number of confirmed cases of the numbered (1038).

The Command and Control Center at the Ministry of Health continues its efforts around the clock through carrying out epidemiological surveillance and making sure the various government and private health facilities commitment to implement infection control and coordination with relevant government sectors and international health organizations, including the WHO and the follow-up by bodies of expertise.

The Ministry also continues its efforts and fully coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture to carry out awareness campaigns of Corona virus in camels gathering places and those who are in contact to be cautious and taking reasons of prevention when dealing with camels.
