(MENAFN- QNA) Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra called for democratization of the UN Security Council so as to create balance in competencies of both the UN Assembly and the Security Council.
Lamamra made the remarks on the sidelines of the 33rd Session of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee (HSGOC) which began here on June 13, 2015.
He called for giving two permanent seats to the African Continent in the United Nations Security Council, these seats would make states gain all powers, including veto power.
