(MENAFN - Gulf Times) Ashghal has announced traffic diversion on the main arterial road between Wakrah and Wukair starting from June 10 (Wednesday).
The diversion will be in place for about 10 months, according to an Ashghal statement, which said the aim is to facilitate the construction of Interchange No.2, one of the five interchanges on the under-construction Al Wakrah bypass.
During the diversion, the two existing lanes in each direction on Al Wukair road will remain closed for a distance of approximately 500 metres between Al Tayseer Petrol Station and Wukair. The traffic will be diverted to an alternative road with the same number of lanes in each direction (as shown on the map).
A 50 kph speed limit will be in force on the diversion route.
