Saudi women account more than 51% of university education seats 2 Riyadh


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The number enrolled in the bachelor's in 2013 phase was (33,686) students, while their number in 2012 was (26,589) students.

This came in the statistics of the Ministry of Education allocated to the area of women's studying higher education, which Saudi Press Agency (SPA) received a copy of them, showing statistically that school attendance state university and private undergraduates reached (551,192 students), while the number of students was (513,688 ), and in private universities have accounted for the proportion of (49%) of the registered numbers.

In a related context, the number of graduate students in public universities Higher Diploma was (6356) students, and in the master's (16,221) students, and in the doctoral field (1,744) students, and in the fellowship program their number was (177) students, as attained in private universities for Diploma (2,771) Students, in a variety of scientific disciplines while the number of women in 2012 was (1.480) students.

Since the launch of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program in 2005, the Ministry of Education has sought for the comprehensiveness and diversity of the people of the Kingdom of the two sexes, and encouraged them to take advantage of the program.
