(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Riyadh on Thursday for a preparatory meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council.
On arrival at the Riyadh Air Base Airport, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled was received by Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah, GCC Secretary-General Abdullatif Al-Zayani, Kuwait's Ambassador to the Kingdom Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and officials from the embassy and the GCC Secretariat.
The Foreign Ministers' meeting, to be chaired by Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Attiyah, will discuss a host of vital topics relevant to the GCC march, in addition to regional developments, Yemen in particular.
Qatar is the president of the current GCC session.
The outcome of the Riyadh meeting will be submitted to the GCC 15th consultative summit in the Saudi capital, 5 May.
The Kuwaiti delegation led by Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled includes Director of the Foreign Minister's Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Director of the GCC Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Ambassador Nasser Hajji Al-Muzain and the Kuwaiti ambassador in Riyadh, besides a number of ministry officials.
